Halogen-free and fire resistance instalation cables
Halogen-free (HF) cables are products that do not contain halogens - substances that, when burned, emit toxic gases that contribute to the rapid spread of fire. Instead of halogens, HF cables contain other substances such as nitrogen and oxygen, which do not promote combustion and do not emit harmful gases.
The main advantages of halogen-free HF cables are:
- Fire safety. Halogen-free cables are highly resistant to fire and do not contribute to the spread of flames. This makes them an ideal choice for use in areas where there is a risk of fire, such as industrial plants or public buildings.
- Environmentally friendly. The absence of halogens in the cable makes it safer for the environment. When burned, HF cables do not emit toxic gases, which reduces the risk of air pollution and negative impacts on human health.
- Durability. Halogen-free cables have a longer service life because they are resistant to corrosion and other environmental influences, ensuring their reliability throughout their lifespan.
- Flexibility. Halogen-free HF cables have good flexibility, which makes them easy to install and operate. Thanks to this, they can be used in different conditions and on different objects.
- Cost-effective. The use of halogen-free cables is a cost-effective solution, as it reduces the cost of cable system maintainence and repair, as well as costs of eliminating the fire consequences.
